Battery is GREAT! I made tons of phone calls, texts, emails, and a little internet, and I still have a bar and change. Today is day one with this phone.

The ONLY problem I have is "call quality." Some of the phone calls were horrendous. (Muffled, echo etc.)

I would've blamed it on the other guy, but it happened way too often. If it continues, I'll exchange it for another C2.

Otherwise, this is a GREAT phone!

Phone calls are a-ok on my end,,,, Not as crystal clear as the Fred but I am not getting any of the phone problems you state... You might have a bad device...

Kris
I'm gonna wait a few days to see if this is indeed a problem. If it is, I'll exchange it.

One more thing -- does this ever happen to you:

A new email arrives, and you click on it, but the previous already-read email opens instead? As if the new email didn't "fully" settle into your bberry?

Its happened to me a couple of times, which forces me have to pause before quickly opening and responding. I don't want to answer the wrong response to the wrong contact. (Does that sound like a device thing? Or a 5.0 problem? Would a new bb fix that problem? It's almost as if the email got there before it was supposed to...)

Thanks

No problems with my email either as you describe... Odd.... I'd say it's time for a swap-a-roo...

Swapped it today....Calls seem to be much better, and that other problem also seems to be gone...

I love this BB.

The KB is a bit different than the 8330, and the buttons are harder to push...a few days of typing should solve that.

PS, I tried the Tour KB in the store..not bad at all. We'll see what happens when the T2 arrives.

It's pretty snappy.... The KB is a bit different and I don't really mind the clicking sound it makes... But yes, you do have to push a bit harder on the KB as opposed to the 8330...

Still very happy with my choice to return the Fred, although I do miss some of the Fred's features...

I never liked the Tour KB which is one of the reasons why It's been collecting dust for about 3 months now...

How do you get "BeWeather?" What is it?

I LOVE this thing. Quick and SO light!

(In general, why are so many people excited over weather apps and widgets? On the Droid forum people were buying the droid just so they can get a weather widget... Since when are we infatuated with the weather?)

Kris, thank you for helping push me into more confusion to get the 8530.

Is the GPS unlocked so it works with Google Maps?

I've followed the Droid forum on CB since it came out. IMO many are obsessed with weather apps (I use BerryWeather and I do like it a lot, it's one of my few paid apps), Facebook/Twitter (etc), the various workaround apps that make you email, sms, stuff work "better", and of course the streaming radio song things. That's what makes me hesitant to do to a Droid. I don't use Facebook/Twitter, no streaming radio (I have my own playlists thank you). I use SportsMobile, my fantasy CBS thing for BB, a few others. I think I'd just wish for my BB back after the fun wore off. The screen real estate temps me to get a Storm2 though. I use my iTouch for movies and hotel TVs. Maybe the Storm.
