Hi all,

I am newly supporting a number of blackberry users on various cell providers and we use Exchange 2007. I noticed in the blackberry online setup provided by verizon, tmobile, and cingular, I can go in and set up access via Outlook Web Access - unfortunately this only supports version 2003, not 2007. Any idea when we will see OWA 2007 support from blackberry?

For now my workaround is to forward mail to a gmail account which the blackberry then checks. Rather ghetto - I look forward to OWA access which I assume will offer email/calendar/contact syncing.

Do you currently have webmail on your server? I have exchange 2007 and i have all my users connect through webmail and it works perfectly.

yep, OWA works great. however blackberries won't work with it. there is a blackberry KB article stating that 2007 is not working at this time, only 2003 and older. are you sure you don't have a mixed 2003/2007 environment?

If I might ask a silly question. You obviously have an Exchange server, why aren't you using BES? Even if it's for a very limited number of users BES Express is free. Just a thought.

I just took a look at bes express - it says free for one user but costs associated for more? I am very happy with winmobile 5 and 6 devices (I use a treo 700w personally) and didn't want to incur the extra expense of BES, but I have a few users with pre-existing blackberries and I'd like to give them what I can -- BIS seemed like a great way to do so via OWA but it doesn't work with our 2007 OWA server...

The cost association is extra cals. They are around $100 per user.
