I noticed that my Black berry had a red light coming from the front of the case, I dismissed it as the led, But when i further analysed it i noticed it was a small red light emitting next to the led, its NOT A led as when recorded by a phone it seemed like a lazer or even a IR light, i hope to remove it, if i cant then i would like to know what it is.

That's a proximity sensor that detects your face while on the phone, whose function (or one of) is to lock out the screen, so you don't accidentally hit soft buttons on the phone during a call...and either hangup - or put the call on hold etc...
