Is anyone else experiencing a BIS outage in the US today?

For at least the last hour, my BlackBerry Internet Browser has been unable to load any web pages. My WAP service through T-Mobile is still working fine, as I can still go to the T-Zones home page, and my Opera Mini still works (which is how I'm posting this, serving as a great reminder as to why I have the 2nd browser.) I've done a hard reboot and a soft reboot, but neither solved the problem.

If anyone else is having the same problem, please let us know.

Well, I received the email notifying me of your reply, so email's working. But the Internet Browser still refuses to load anything other than T-Zone pages. *shrugs shoulders*

I am seeing odd behavior on my T-Mo 8320. Some services work, while others are lagging horrendously and the client app often times out. The BB's logfile does not show any connection timeout messages, however.

It seems that things that route through the BES at my company are working, but things that try to go through BIS are lagging badly/unable to connect. JiveTalk is timing out, GMail app times out trying to connect to Google. Viigo is hit/miss. Google Maps will update, but it takes about 20 minutes to get all the map tiles for one page. On the other hand, my BES E-mail is instant, as well as a few other apps I believe to go through the BES (such as JaikuBerry).

This happens regardless of being on WiFi/UMA or on EDGE. Battery pull does not make any difference.

No internet on VZW in New Jersey either. Oh it does work, it just took over 5 mins.

Same here. It has been very slow downloading web pages on my BlackBerry browser this afternoon. Everything else is fine (showing uppercase EDGE, sending and receiving emails ok, etc). It has happened atleast 3 times in under a week. All these super slow data incidences have happened early/mid-afternoon. What could be up?

I am having problems here in Brazil. Browsing was terribly slow and e-mail didn't work for some time. Seems to be normal now.

Emails were delayed up to an hour across all my accounts on VZW BIS. Seems to be almost normal now. As I mentioned before I believe these recent delays will continue as more blackberry's are added to RIM's network.

Still having trouble here. I managed to get the main page of this forum to load on the BlackBerry Internet Browser a few minutes ago, but when I tried to load the General Discussion Forum, it hung up again.

Hope they get things back to normal again soon.

I know yesterday or the day before (I can't remember now) there was a scheduled outage...

I just checked my phone (Tmo - Utah) and I had no problem loading myspace or the wap site...

*shrugs* I don't know if I was having problems earlier... I know I got 3 emails this morning that I should have gotten yesterday afternoon.. but that's all I've really noticed

no issues at all today anywhere in KY. All carriers are running fine.
