Default 8110?

Please Login to Remove!

The 8120 is out in Europe, the 8130 is on it's way. But it's pretty quiet when it comes to the 8110. (if it exists)

tomdkat, in the title you say 8110 but in your post you say 8310.

I assume you meant to say 8110 both times?

The 8110 does exist, but it does not appear that RIM will release it, favoring the 8120 instead. This is subject to change, but I've only heard news on the 8120 and all carriers appear to be mum on the idea of another BlackBerry for the 8000 series. I think it's time to close the book and look towards the 9000 series in 2008.

It does make sense. Why put the focus on a GPS device with a smaller screen?
I would think that most GPS users will not mind a larger screen, and may actually prefer a full QWERTY keyboard (to type addresses).

If you don't agree, ask your carrier for a Pearl with GPS :D

It makes about as much sense and heavy browsing on a smaller screen. And that's the touted benefit of WiFi.

Granted, but WiFi is also useful for SIP related services. And email over WiFi saves you $$$$$$
GPS doesn't have the 'direct' saving benifits that WiFi does.

Also, downloading ring tones over WiFi...
