Is the 7290 soon to be put on the discontinued list? Rogers is backordered and doesn't expect to recieve new 7290's until end of July. Of course, until RIM releases new product the 7290 has to continue, but you can see the writing on the wall after all this time, that it's almost time to discontinue some of the older models..

When will the 7290 meet it's end? =)

It sure seems like it's being DQ'd. TMO has been dumping stock on the units for anywhere from $50 - free depending contract duration of a newly activated line.

The 7290 and 7100 have both been discontinued in favour of the 8700 and 7130

Until the 8700's price drops to something AFFORDABLE i have to believe there is something else coming down the pipe. If at least a signifigant price drop.. but not until 7290 stock is basically, gone.

Once the stock depletes to the point where they cannot reorder I am sure the price will drop.
