Default BB down since 10:30am PST today

Please Login to Remove!

any idea of when it will come back up? who do I contact to let them know?

only messaging and internet are down

edit: this is occuring in Oregon...anyone else having outages around the NW?

First - have you tried to pop the battery out and then in. That is ALWAYS the first step in troubleshooting.

nope, I've done it twice about 2 hours apart and still it's down.

Are you on a corporate BES or personal BIS account?
Have you contacted your carrier?

yes, via chat and every attempt to fix the outage proved futile.

I took the battery out and rebooted, I attempted to update the profile via mobile network to restore the data services...nothing, nada. The service rep also told me that there were NO outages in my area at all.

HOWEVER...and I don't want to call it coincidence, but when I had my old number ported from the old provider I noticed that my BB messenger, & the browser stopped working. The service rep on the chat told me that once the old number is ported from the old provider it will take up to 72 hours to take effect.

this is just unreal.
wow....

edit: now I was told that porting numbers had nothing to do with the outage... so I'm kinda stuck. Guess I'll just go to the Sprint store and hopefully they can figure this out.

Mentioned what? I did say that I'm NEW to the BB world. I've no idea what a BES or BIS is. I just got the BB Curve last Friday 1/22....so please give me a break here.

RESOLVED.... it was the ported number that triggered a lockout...so I went to the Sprint store to have the tech manually reset my phone and push the BB messenger and internet to accept the reset.
