cannot get a result on the speed test through opera mini, got a 'unstable or too fast on the 1MB file. Cannot test in the BlackBerry internal browser.

Have done a fair amount of browsing with EDGE radio off testing at TMO HotSpot, personal 802.11g connection with Comcast, and other open Wifi areas. My conclusions: the internal browser is throttled by software, using 3rd part apps you can really see the difference. (google maps, and opera mini 4). In many cases EDGE through the internal browser was faster for rendering than wifi. Google maps over wifi loads satellite imagery after zoom almost instantly. Opera mini 4 render is also very fast compared to EDGE data.

As one last test I went to 3gptogo.com and used that site to download the demo video to test internal browser on EDGE and wifi. End result was EDGE transfer was average of 9-10kbps. Wifi in numerous places was 6-7kbps.

Hope this helps, know a bit off topic of thread but the question was asked. I will say though HotSpot@Home service works exceptionally well on this device.

for kicks uploading a shot of the box taken with the 8320, testing flash too as to washed out.

Default keyboard light

Is the keyboard on ATT curve and TMO curve white? can you see them at night easily. I ask because I believe in the past/present there are BB's with blue lights on the keyboard and it's been reported that it's hard to see night/day

Default my new 8320!

Below is the link to my flickr photos showing my new Curve and comparing it's size to my old 7105t.

Flickr: Photos from danielhicks24

The guy at the TMo store said it was the first one they've sold (location at Northfield Stapleton, Denver CO)

It's hard to believe how much smaller it is to my 7105t.

Now I'm off to buy a micro SD!

From the side profile view the sides of the Curve look rubberized. Are they?

Nevermind. Deleting and readding my Yahoo account gave me that icon. Cool.
