True.
On a side note, about a month ago I tried downgrading (back to the 2.0 version) but kept ending up with the newer version (4.2.2.114). What gives? Why couldn't I downgrade?

My advice would be to uninstall all of the OS versions for your device from your PC and reinstall only the one you want to use.

My install shows the following modules will be deleted:

net_rim_bbapi_pim_res__ca
net_rim_bbapi_pim_res__nl
net_rim_bb_ldap_resource__ca
net_rim_bb_ldap_resource__nl
net_rim_bb_qm_peer_resource_ca
net_rim_bb_qm_peer_resource_nl
net_rim_bb_passwordkeeper_resource__ca
net_rim_bb_passwordkeeper_resource__nl

Are these ok to delete? I haven't done an upgrade before so I have no idea.

Update: Nevermind, I can see they are just unused languages files.

This version seems to have fixed my issues with audio/video syncing. Many of my videos that I have converted had a slight syncing problem and one video especially that was 2 hours long was pretty bad. After installing this version it is now syncing correctly.

Just remember that your carrier ~ Rogers in your case ~ makes little difference in this process. What's important is that you match your current version with the "alx" posted...

Has anyone else tried loading the 8300 OS on an 8310??? I'd think that there are differences, and hopefully the OS loader is protecting you from bricking your 8310.

Model numbers - whether they're the same device series or not - are not interchangable

You're not going to see either of those in any incremental updates

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 9000: BlackBerry8300/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Does anyone know if this OS version allows us to stream to regular BT headsets (mono)? I read that one of the older releases did this but then it was changed later. This was one of the reasons I bought the 8300 but come to find out the A2DP is only for stereo headphones and not headsets

Can anyone confirm? Thanks.

So does that mean I can download the new OS and then add this patch and I will have BT streaming to my headset? Can I add it to my existing OS? (4.2.2.89)

There is no T-Mo version, as this is not a phone offered by T-Mo.

Tried again and again. V 2.0 doesn't register at all for some reason; it's as though the device doesn't recognize it... Weird...
