I can't get the Jawbone 2 to work with my BB 8320. The J2 pairs easily, but when I try to place or receive calls, the trouble starts. While the J2 is connected to my 8320, all of my incoming calls are cut off within 5 seconds of answering. When I place a call, I'll hear a few rings, then the call is dropped. If I press the END CALL button on the 8320, the speakerphone turns on and I'll hear the voice of whoever I called for several seconds after which the call terminates. This happens EVERY time I place or receive a call. As soon as I turn off the J2, my 8320 works perfectly. I've tried the J2 on two different 8320s and the same problems occur. I e-mailed Jawbone support and they said to make sure my 8320 has the latest update. They also said there have been several problems reported about J2 and BB incompatibility. Anyone here have these problems? I love the fit/feel of the J2 and would hate to return it.

Jawbone and 8310
Is anyone successfully using a Jawbone with an 8310? I am a new BlackBerry user and am concerned with compatibility. According to the earlier post, it seems like the Jawbone doesn't work too well with the 8320.
Thanks,
Brooke

To Greenman, yes the Jawbone works with the 8310, although Im finding out there are some strange quirks that manifest every now and then.
REVIEW DAY TWO: Jawbone 1 with BB 8310
Today I gave the Jawbone a 5out of 10. Found a few more things that added to my dislike list and nothing that made me like it any more. So lets begin.
In the grocery store: Headed to the store today to get a few essentials and talked to a friend of mine who called to see how the jawbone fared. Overall again the sound was exceptional and the comfort was decent although I did find myself taking it off more today due to the back of my ear getting irritated from the hook. While in use though, comfort was good. It was during my shopping excursion that I ran into my biggest dislike so far about the jawbone; a lack of volume buttons. To make any adjustments to the volume, they must be made from the handset as opposed to simply reaching up to the headset and turning it down or up. This came into play when walking through the media area where people crank crappy wal-mart stereos WAY too loud and the employees blissfully leave them turned to ear bleeding levels all day and when annoying little kids without parental supervision are left to roam the aisles screaming an carrying on (damn im a spiteful bastard eh?) In any case, lack of an easy to access volume button is a big turn off for me. Caller didnt mention background noise, but did mention spots of static which could easily be blamed on reception problems.
Next dislike that carried over from yesterday was the difficult to press buttons on the headset to turn it off. Maybe the jawbone is trying to tell me my fingers are fat or something because I have a hard time getting them pressed in without removing the headset from my ear.
Drove in the car with the windows down while talking to my gf and as others have mentioned, the wind was a big problem. She did mention it was not as bad with the headset on as it would be with just the handset, but still annoying enough to make a conversation difficult on her end.
The only pluses today were the comfort and the sound quality on my end which are so damn good i cant see disliking it more than a 5, but i hope i can figure out why im having so many issues with the other things.
I do have a jawbone 2 on order, so when that arrives I will throw it into the running against the jawbone 1 and the jabra which should be here tomorrow.

You probably won't find a Jawbone 2 cheaper then $129 for the next few weeks... only about 4 or 5 retailers (AT&T, Best Buy, a AT&T agent, and a few more) are able to sell them during the first 30 day exclusivity period. So if you're not in a rush and want a good price, wait 3 weeks for everyone else to get it.
I haven't tried the 2, but I know a few people with the 1, and they love it. I went with a BlueAnt Z9 for a while, enjoyed that (upgradeable firmware is great).
Now I'm using the H12, only because I wanted something with an on/off switch. I don't keep it in my ear, only when I'm driving (even then, its out of my ear half the time) or when I need to free up my hands. So far I'm enjoying it.
I actually prefer the styling of the H681, a little smaller, and still has pretty good sound quality. The last one I tested, people didn't have a problem hearing me in the mall. (I got the H12 for free so I can't complain about the size).
For now, Jawbone 2 is probably the best. BlueAnt has another piece coming out with phone independent voice commands (everything through the headset; favorite numbers, battery status, volume, etc.), look for that later this month. H12 is still pretty new, I haven't heard of anything coming from Motorola anytime soon, but I've always had good luck with their BT products.

This thread really should be in the BT forum. There seem to be a lot of threads that are relevant across model lines getting stuck in model-specfic forums.
I'll have to give the Jawbone 2 a try. I still haven't found anything to dethrone my Voyager 510.

Not if you're realistic... Part of the problem with coming up with some sort of holy grail of BT headsets is that fit is so subjective.

I ordered both my jabra and jawbone 2 off of ebay. The jabra was 25 and the jawbone was 80 shipped. So whichever wins my 'bluetooth test' the lesser one will be returned. The jawbone 1 I have been testing is my fathers and as my two days reviews have shown, I have not seen it live up to the 'hype' that surrounds it.

Read the original post, already had the h12 and it was one the worst I tried. I've decided to avoid anything motorola after using 3 different headsets of theirs and having them all be junk.

I spoke with Jawbone's tech support about my troubles getting my Jawbone 2 to work with my BB 8320. They actually suggested I check BlackBerryForums.com for help. After further chats, they're exchanging my J2 for another one. I should receive it in 1-2 days.
If the replacement J2 still doesn't work, I'll try the new BlueAnt Z9i. I liked the Z9, except for the acrylic ear hook which was kinda painful after 10-15 minutes. The Z9i's hook is rubber-coated so it might be more comfortable.
I also tried Plantronics' 925 and 815. I couldn't get the 925 to stay in my ear with any of the three ear gels. The 815 was okay, but I didn't like the way it had to go so deep into my ear canal to stay in place. I've been using the 520 for a couple of months, but don't like its bulky/blocky feel. I know, I know... I'm probably too picky.

The Curve 8310 and the Jawbone 2 pair up easily and I'm one of the advocates of the JB2...So far so great after a week of use...I'm now looking for a case for the JB2...Any guidance would be greatly appreciated...

Very happy with my Moto H710 and my BB 8310. Very loud and good overall call quality (and I have had a ton of bluetooth headsets including the Moto H12, H680, H700, Nokia H800 and others).

I am wondering how the JB2 is working with a 8330. I have heard the bluetooth was weak.

I just bought a Jawbone II. My callers, especially the ones who griped about my old Motorola, report little background noise and say they hear me quite well. My only problem is the fit. I have small ears and ear canals. Even the small ear buds don't fit well, and the ear loop doesn't even rest on my ear! I read about custom ear pieces from Averysound and wonder if anyone has used or heard anything about these or other custom ear buds.
Thank you all so much for humoring a newbie!!

jawbone and blueant z9 are very good and I have both, but don't like th fitment in my ear opening becuase it sits on the opening (unless you have a large enough ear opening that it actually fits inside
for me, i have always been satisfied with plantronics. I have had the following models
510, 655, 815, 855, and now using the 925.
I love them for the sound quality, comfort of wear and overall small size.
