Alright my Blackberry Storm a few months ago the screen gave out. It doesnt have warranty on it anymore. So i decided to order the replacement lcd for it. I made sure i ordered the right one which was the lcd ending with 014. The lcd that arrived was the wrong one it was i think the 024 version. I decided to just give it a try to see what happens. Well it was a bad idea. The phone showed the clock spinning normally and then the blackberry logo loading screen. After that the screen stayed black and nothing happened. So i just send the lcd back and then weeks later received the right one. I tried the new screen and it didnt work just a black screen again i could only see the backlight and buttons light up and when i would press the voice dialer button you can hear that everything is working. I wanted to make sure that either that it was my phone that didnt work or the lcd. Lucky for me i have a friend that just recently broke his lcd. I tried my new lcd on his and it worked. Looks like installing the wrong lcd the first time fried whatever outputs video to the lcd. So now i have a useless phone and to make things worse im not a verizon subscriber and dont have phone insurance on it.
My friend offered me a deal. The deal was that in exchange for letting me get a new blackberry from his phone insurance and i give him $50 dollars plus the new lcd($60 Value). Also I get to keep everything that comes in the new phone.
So is this a good deal?
