I just bought a 7290 for £45 I actually only paid £10 because I traded in a Nokia 6630, in which he gave me £35 for the nokia. I've only had it a few days and i love it. I plan to get it unlocked so I can use my Vodafone contract sim, to take advanage of internet/ email features on it. I've been told by Vodafone that they are releasing data tariffs, very shortly.

There are several postings on the boards on people having problems with buying from Tiger Direct (mainly battery/power issues) and from eBay (locked when they claimed to be unlocked; IT Policies in place).

I would check with one of the sponsors and see if you can get a deal.

Quantity, cheap, non refurbished BBs is not an easy target...

Phil - just remember that in order to use any data, you must have a BlackBerry Data Plan on the SIM, and not "normal" data/GPRS plans.

Good luck.

Use eBay just be sure to read the "fine print" before you bid as well as check the user's rating and comments

"Cheap" and "unlocked" are practically antonyms with new devices but good luck!
