Default Blackberry memory is not reclaiming after deleting file

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

I verified my free memory and it say about 5MB. Later I went to Sample Videos and deleted sample video(2.1MB).
After deleting the file when I check the status it is still same. I am not getting the additional 2MB .
Where is the memory going ?

Regards

Wirelessly posted (8120 4.5.037)

Pull the battery to reboot and your memory will be back.

BB Memory Management is next to useless. It also has memory leaks, and will delete stuff without warning, like e-mails, call logs, etc.. when you never know. Stupid management of memory, and no way using external storage for internal software like e-mails, contacts, etc.

Hi all,

Thanks for suggestions. I removed my battery for 1 minute and checked the free space. I got around 15MB free space now . Wow.. . It's great. I think blackberry internall storing all the previous programs in memory .Once we remove the battery it seems to be erasing all old data from memory.

Regards

If you want to get some memory back remove all the languages you don't need.
