Question New BB user with Outlook question...

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone...I just purchased my first Blackbery (yay!!) and I love it!! I just have a question about how to setup my BB so that I can recieve email that is sent to my outlook address.

My office has a Microsoft Exchange Server...and I use a laptop to retrieve my email while I'm IN the office. While I am OUT of the office I use the webmail interface to recieve my email.

So now I'm stuck on how to set this up....I have tried creating a "rule" in my webmail interface that will automatically foward all messages recieved to my "uscellular.blackberry.com" account, but so far I'm having no luck at all.

Any suggestions for me?? Thanks so much!

I would suggest setting up your mail server to forward a copy of your email to your BB email account. This will generally get your mail to you in 3-5 seconds from the time it hits your mail server.

If you set it up under the BB webclient through your provider, this is only polled every 15 minutes or so and mail can be delayed.

You do need to set up the PIN on the BB webclient and send the service books to your handheld, etc.

I was able to setup TMobile's BIS to log into my companies Exchange 2003 server using the OWA settings, same as you'd use for a browser. This is great because when I delete mail on my handheld, it deletes from my company mailbox also. No changes were needed the firewall or anything to make this work.
