Default Are you keeping your Storm?...

Please Login to Remove!

HELL YES...

I love my Storm!

That doesn't mean I don't take issue with some things, but it does mean that I am willing to work through them because of all the other wonderful things this phone offers.

(My gripe) - If we can only use the phone (keypad) in portrait mode, then we should only be able to answer it in portrait mode. This would eliminate the issues with the "trying to press the answer button" game when receiving a call. Hopefully this can be resolved in future OS, a simple feature.

Other than that I'm enjoying the storm...

muddasick,

simply press the answer key and hold your finger there for a second until the answer screen comes up.

If your phone was in the process of orienting itself from landscape to portrait, during the incoming call, just wait a second and then press the answer key and hold.

It works every time.

Probably not keeping mine. The horrible battery life and constant memory leak (regardless of version) has me pretty put off. Overall it's ok but really not worth the hassle so far. I'm just not that impressed.

UPS picked up Storm this morning. I already miss it, but I know returning it was the right thing to do. I hope there will be more OS updates that will improve the Storm over the next few months. By then, the Niagara should be out and I'll decide between it and the Storm.

Evidently your choice will be the Niagara.

But to go back to the 8320 over a Storm?!?!? Hmmmm...

There are one of two explanations:

1. The poster is a die-hard iPhone hater and pretended to own and then get rid of a Storm "cause touch screen technology be da debul"

or

2. The poster is simply stuck one generation behind in the physical keyboard realm and can't part with old school technology.

But getting rid of the Storm AND possibly considering going back when the software is better? NOT!!!

Enjoy your Niagara!

Or maybe he just doesn't like it, just because it's the newest thing out doesn't make it the best. I have a Storm and went back to my Curve because for me it works, no problems it just works. when you need something for "work" that "works" it's hard to go with something just because it's new.

A couple of remarkably stupid statements from someone who knows absolutely nothing about me or what I want in a phone. My guess is that making stupid statements comes naturally to him.

Absolutely not, i hate this device.

I have been involved with RIM for 8 years and i have used every device they made.

I like the full keyboard, so i have switched back to a Bold.

RIM has to do a better job with the touch screen, its that simple.

Dude - you're baiting people with rude (and unfounded) comments like this in various threads.

It's caused problems before.

Why not give it a rest?

I for one am getting the storm on Weds. cotract is finally up. Retiring my 8703.. Played with the storm a few days ago at the Verizon shop and it seems like a lot of the bugs and lagging have been worked out. Either way, the phone is pretty awesome and is only going to get better with future updates

Yes, I am keeping my Storm. It does have a few issues, but I can work around them easily enough, and I know the OS is only going to get better as time goes on.

I'm happy with my Storm.

.109 is just fail, if you ask me. I went back to .103 and had no trouble since.
