Please Login to Remove!

Update: Actually, the Viigo alpha DOES work for me. I had to uninstall, reboot, then reinstall. Yay!

Do any of the RIM IM apps work? If not I'm not making the jump.

I am happy to report that the current released version of IM+ is now working with the new release of the BlackBerry OS 5.0.0.93.

This is an all in one messenger application for all instant messengers, including Facebook Chat.

I wasn't going to install this new OS, but Shape Services needed a beta tester.

So there you have it folks.....Instant Messaging works right now only with IM+. Free to try for 7 days, but if you want to buy it right now, it's $19. I paid for it, and love it!

Wirelessly posted (Hey I'm cool…)

I get network error when I try to use the new ÜberTwitter application, it could be that I cannot connect to wifi.

I suggest no one try to delete anything to save space from withing the java folder. Doing so cripples some functions, like for example. I deleted the precision silver theme along with voice dial (VAD) files and some other stuff i don't need and it caused for reqall not to work.

After repairing the 5.0.0.93 Install everything is working great, even google maps is working. This might be a better working 5.0 than the .90

It seems to be ok for now. I will play with it more later. The one thing I hate about going to v5 is that all my icons are moved back to default and unhidden.

Yes, but is Facebook working perfectly? That is the deal winner or breaker for me.

Thx

I was thinking that I had lost the ability to zoom in on pictures with this version. When I first press the menu key on a picture, there is no zoom option. But I found that you have to click the trackball once, which will zoom. Then the menu will have the zoom options.

No I don't believe FB is compatible with this revision. This is FB's issue, and they're currently working on a 5.0 compatible version.

At least IM+ works.

Still have the fuzzy time font on Media Player and the Application Banner...but that's why I wear a watch. LoL.

Tried to install it, but after installation of the update on the PC, i am not able to connect my BB to my USB connection anymore. So actually i could not update the OS.

Removed vendor file etc etc.....

Tried on both XP and Vista.

Anyone had the same problem and knows a fix?

you'd think that if FB released 1.5 (finally), it would be compatible with the new OS 5.0. *sigh* Viigo and Google Maps work, so that's a definite plus.

I've also got BerryBuzz, can someone enlighten me and tell me if that works?

So you'd think that when 5.0 is officially released, then, and only then, would you expect software to officially work and be support. Sigh. IT'S STILL AN EARLY BETA.

I think i may have to go back to 266. I can't get wifi to work properly. It shows my network name but the wifi icon never comes on. if I run the diags it has all the network info but won't connect the BB servers and everything is going over edge.

I need wifi at work.

Any ideas, I did the whole remove the profile, reboot, redo profile and still no wifi.

I also reactivated against my BES with no problems.

One thing to note... I can type pretty fast on my bold, it seems this OS cant keep up. I have to slow down, or otherwise it misses letters. This was an issue for me with .90, never an issue in any 4.6 build.
