Default Docs to go / OS 4.5

Please Login to Remove!

Not sure if this right place to ask ....

Using 4.5 OS means you have got Documents to go standard

How does one save an email attachment to the memory / memory card, then open it in Docs to go to be able to edit it?

TIA.

That requires a BES upgrade and/or a BIS upgrade. Docs to Go is already included but downloads aren't yet possible. Once both upgrades are in place you'll be able to download the attachment to the card.

I was looking forward to it, I tried app loader to see if it was something I might have checked off and it's not on there at all. This also deleted my yahoo messenger, live messenger, and original aim and replaced it with rims (much nicer by the way but AIM doesn't work.)

It's only missing if you forgot to install it as part of the OS upgrade.
It's definitely part of .42

No, just run Application Loader from within Desktop Manager and check off the box for Docs To Go.

Default Excel

Will the ability to write to Excel spreadsheets be made available in the final release or do we need to purchase that from the vendor.

Thanks

Actually based on the Docs to Go video presentation from their web page, in June/July there will be a Premium edition available that will give you the ability to create documents on the device. It stated that the ability to download and save will be based on the BES being upgraded. I used the product on the Treo and it worked great to create documents that then could be connected and viewed on my laptop. If they do the same as on the Treo, it will be great.

When you have registered with DTG there is a premium upgrade for $0.00. Download the premium software and they sent the activation key via email. I now have Word, SlideShow and Excel with the ability to edit. Very nice.

This worked for me. I registered and then went through the upgrade process.
