ON ebay you'd get more cash... hehe. But you'd be giving it to a crew member if you sell it here. But on eBay you'd get more cash

No, not anymore... im pretty sure they are available in other places around the world. If in fact you stole the device that may cause a problem... im not positive though.

why are people so disparate to see pictures of a device when they already know exactly how it will look already.
i just want the actual device

That is the funny thing. You could get pictures from anywhere. So they really don't prove that anyone has a Bold to sell. I guess if they were very obviously the same pictures as shown in another sale listing then you would know the guy didn't really have one.

If you want to try the picture-as-proof thing, you need to specify something specific that can only be produced in response to your request.

For example:

Take a picture of your Bold sitting on top of today's New York Times, with the date clearly visible.

If the guy has the item, he can easily create this picture and provide it for you. If he doesn't, it is going to be pretty difficult to do this.

IMHO it is sort of silly to pay double or triple the anticipated retail price of a Bold just so you can have one a month earlier than everybody else. I have plenty of $$$ to spend on stuff like this, but I would rather have the additional $400-800 to spend on other stuff. Especially since I have a perfectly functional BB 8800 that serves me just fine in the meantime.

But, if you absolutely HAVE to try and buy one of these early units for 3x the price because you can't wait four weeks, then make sure you get proof that actually means something. If a seller isn't willing to do that, then tell them you will be happy to send them a photo of the money you will send to them after they send you the hardware

Thats a tough example since the guy is in Canada Just trying to lighten the mood a bit.

take a picture of the device with this page on the screen (wap site) and with this page in the background on your PC. That should satisfy everyone.

how about this... take a picture of me holding the device. Then I will believe you enough to pony up the dough. Oh, and you may also be able to post the pic of me running away with the phone too.

Alright, you holding it at the Opening Ceremonies in Bejing. Or, from the stands of todays Angel game.

Oh yeah, and at either event, please hold op that days edition of the New York Times. And display this thread on the BlackBerry.
