Default loads of questions no time to search

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Guys sorry for not using the search! The BB pearl 8110 has just been released in Ireland and I need to purchase one for my wife tomorrow (dont ask) hence the rush. Here are my questions.

Does the GPS attivation usually require a separate subsrciption, if you have any ireland specific info that would be great the carrier here is O2.

What the Maximum memory card size the new pearl can take?

Is the browser any better?

Are there any other little sweet points she (the wife) might like

Thanks again

Wirelessly posted

You can use BBmaps or download google maps, both are free. There is even nav4all too, also free.

You will have the 4.3 OS so Max card size is 8GB.

I think the browser is much the same but I like the BB browser

Your wife will love it!

google maps is the best way IMHO

the browser on it is great but if you wanna tru something else, try Opera Mini (Download Opera Web Browser)

you can do that OTA(over the air) or through the desktop Manager

Mantises are masters of camouflage and most species make use of protective coloration to blend in with the foliage or, wait--what was the question again? I'm too busy to scroll up and look.

For those of you gracious enough to help out thank you! For those of you who like to wallow in self indulgent crap always remember “there’s nothing more dangerous than a UN-resourceful idiot

"I don't have time to search but I expect all of you to drop what you are doing and hand it to me." You are the idiot here. End of story.

Context- I arrive home from my day job as a Medic @ 5.45pm. My wife again only just in from her job as a nurse tells me that she wants the new xxx8216;pinkxxx8217; blackberry. Our local phone store shuts at 6pm so there was no hope of getting there and I donxxx8217;t ever rely on the information they supply you with especially on smart phones.

I was due to begin work at a childline call centre at 7pm which I do once per week as a volunteer. The phone had to be purchased the next morning (today Wednesday) as my wife was due to travel Thursday to the UK and porting her number here to the new network takes a day. Therefore my rush!-End context

I was able to check in once during my 12 hr shift to see the comments left on the forum and couldnxxx8217;t believe some of the responses left to a polite post asking for some quick info from a long time member whoxxx8217;s been out of the mix for a while.

On a daily basis I deal with people often being asked similar questions over and over again and I would never be a discourteous as to tell them xxx8216;where to goxxx8217; in what can only be described as the having the intelligence of a Budwiser advert, and I quote xxx8216;Hahaha, xxx8216;perfect responsexxx8217;, xxx8216;Beat me to itxxx8217;, xxx8216;Nicexxx8217;. I wonder how many of your thousands of posts consist of such high levels of acumen.

Thatzmister2u you can edit, destroy, remove my posts as you wish, whatever gives you a sense of holding some benign power over others in this small little space in the vast world of the net. And I thought Americans believed in free speech. Meanwhile Ixxx8217;ll serve society in a more meaningful way.

The problem, i, is not that you asked questions which have been asked over and over. We do deal with that every day. You wrote that you don't have time to search.

Explicitly stating that your time is more precious than ours. Fine. That is your opinion.

I appreciate your day job, I do.

Now search. In the time you took arguing and inciting and defending yourself, you would have had all of the answers. And stop being a pompous jerk at the same time.

@i robot: You're digging yourself deeper into a hole of bad attitude. The comments were made in good humour and were equally as justified as yours. In honesty you come across as thinking that because of your profession you're 'better' than the rest of us.

irobot, where was the word "please" in your query, which to me routinely typifies polite ("please" is a common Irish word as well as American--I do know that. Heck I bet we Irish have been using "please" longer than our American principle of free speech has been around).

Oh heavens, and you take to personally attacking me? I haven't touched your post. But I guess you were too busy to notice what you were speaking of.

I was just having a bit of fun, no personal attacks on you.

NJ appreciates your day job; I don't care what you do. Do your job and stop whining. If this whole BB thing for your wife is important enough to you, get off your ass and spend a little time on it. You choose to do what you do, you also chose to come here and say help, I can't help myself.

Sorry, I won't help someone that refuses to at least attempt to help themselves.

Now, if someone had a gun to your head or you were dying, or Timmy had fallen into a well and needed help (and Lassie wasn't available) with some BlackBerry information I'm pretty sure everyone here would help out.

But "loads of questions no time to search", doesn't cut it here, and it doesn't cut it in life.

Get over yourself.
