Default Unable to pinpoint why app wont open

Please Login to Remove!

I am having the hardest time trying to figure out why my app will work on some phones, and not on others.

Heres what i have done..

I compiled and code signed my application using the 4.2.1, and 4.7 JDE. I uploaded the 2 separate builds to my website and began testing them on some devices. My pearl ran the 4.2.1 build fine, the storm ran the 4.7 build fine. I thought everything was perfect until i found out that some users were having issues. The users having issues report that...

The app downloads OTA as expected, an icon is placed as expected, but when they launch the app nothing appears to happen. When they click the menu button and go to switch application, my app is listed but when you select it nothing happens. Its not a specific device because some curves load the app while some dont, same for storms etc. I have confirmed that the OS is >= to the JDE version used to compile the COD file so im really confused.

I created an account at deviceanywhere.com to try and test the app but now i cannot get any of the devices to execute the app. They download fine and show the icon, but when i execute the app nothing happens.

Arg ive spent all day running around in circles. Any possible suggestions on how to isolate this problem.

Thank you

PS: On the devices that are not working.... i set permission to ALLOW for everything, and when i press the menu button and go to switch applications, my app is listed. The app makes a call to my webserver when it runs however no call is being made on the devices that cannot get it to run properly so its not running in the background.

Check the system event log for exceptions on your application.

The system log worked great! Looks like I have a NullPointerException in one of my functions so now I have a starting point to track this down.

To access the System Event Log go to your home screen and press ALT LGLG. ALT+L ALT+G ALT+L ALT+G (ignore the +'s) also works
