Newbie here and I did google this and it got me super confussed.

Can someone tell me the difference between a Hidden and Non-Hidden today themes?

Also if hidden how can I view it.

Hidden "today" themes typically don't show specific information (calendar entries, messages, etc) until you scroll over/select the appropriate icon. In these themes, the "display" area is usually blank and when you scroll over the calendar icon, the upcoming calendar entries are shown. When you scroll over the message icon, any unread messages are listed.

The non-hidden "today" themes are the old-fashioned screens that always show calendar entries and/or messages, depending on the way the theme was coded.

Oo. I am intersted with non hidden for calendar but hidden for message .. any suggestion on the theme that close todefault theme plus above criteria?

It's either hidden or not hidden, no partials. You can get a theme that shows the calendar entries all the time and requires you to go to Messages folder to see your email/sms/mms messages. Tons of those around, if you search.
