Question Desktop Software 4.0 not responding

Please Login to Remove!

I own a 7250 with desktop software 4.0.1.1. Whenever I connect it to my laptop the desktop indicates that the device has been connected, but then it reads "working" across the title bar of the desktop software window and it stays like that. The desktop software will not respond. Although the handheld indicates that it is connected to the pc, I can't do a thing. When I disconnect, the desktop becomes responsive once more. I tried reinstalling the software and hard rebooting the handheld none of these steps solved the issue. I also tried disabling the auto sync option. When connected, the bb desktop displays the PIN # of my device so I am assuming that it is recognizing it. Task Manager indicates that the application is running properly. Has anyone ever encountered an issue like this?

Default I'm having the same problem

I'm having the same problem with a 7100 phone. I've completely re-installed the desktop manager software and still no luck.

I've even tried installing the software on a new computer with no luck.

Even though automatic syncing has been disabled DM still communicates with you MAPI profile when starting..

Create a new MAPI profile for the user and also on the users pc Goto: C:\Documents and Settings\[USERNAME]\Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Intellisync and delete their PIN # Folder listed their, restart your PC and everything should work correctly for now..
