I just got a Z10 blackberry. With my previous Curve I could configure Profiles as well as alerts filtered with specific email addresses.

I doesn't look like this functionaility exists in the Z10? Is there a workaround including method to get notifications on a specific condition?

Profiles have been scaled back.

What specific condition would you like to receive notifications about?

You can go into Contacts>Choose a number or contact or email entry>Scroll down to Ring Tone and Notifications. You can assign specific tones for email, number, and BBM tone. You can also change the LED and vibrating notifications.

I just needed to be alerted if I recieve an email from a particular address (I'm a DBA and sometimes a job fails).

1. Save the particular email address to a contact entry. If you have not already done that.
2. Follow the instructions in post #2
3. Sit back and relax, you will be notified.

There's more control in 10.2, but even the 10.1 from AT&T has the ability to assign separate ringtones and notification sounds to specific contacts. A later 10.2, a 1xxx series build from what I've heard over at the Crackberry forum, will have actual customizable profiles included along with the ability to group contacts to a profile - something I miss from my old 9800.
