Closing the application throws a 'NullPointerException'.

Everything else looks great.

Thanks
Yeah, the 7 seconds is the save of the database. Even if you don't make changes, the Last Access time is written. I think I'm going to change how that is done. Maybe saving when the app closes rather than when the entry screen closes.

I'll look at the other 2 errors. Does the NullPointerException always happen or only sometimes?

Yes, it seems the NullPointerException happens whenever closing the app.

As for the '7 second' delay, I think you might be right that it would be better to save the data when the app is closed.

However folks might not mind a delay when they are changing data - just no delay when viewing only. For example write the data immediately when a change is made, but if someone is viewing only, then the save at the end would update the 'last access'. That way if the machine freezes while KeePassBB is open you would only lose the 'last access' .

Just a thought.

Thanks

I also notice the 7 second lag. I'd support the save upon the exit from the app.

You got it. Just moved up from beta2 to beta4 and really like the improvements. Group deletion seems to have issues though.

Deleted 2 groups on the desktop, synced, and then proceeded to delete the same groups (which still exist per the readme) from the device:
(1) Set for save on exit: deleted one group with no issue. On deletion of second group, KeepassBB threw an "uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException"
(2) Set for save on exit: deleted one group. On exit, KeepassBB threw a "group serialize"
(3) Set for save after every change: deleted one group. KeepassBB threw an exception.

any work on pasting the password from somewhere to open the database? My pw is long and cryptic and not bad for typing on computer but on bb is painful. would be easier since I have saved on my BB I could copy it and then paste in there.

What happens if/when KeePass V2 is released (currently in Alpha, right?)?

Does the Blackberry port have to start all over again, or is V2 support expected to be an 'enhancement'. I realise, of course, thet *is* no V2 that should be used in anger today anyway

I'm going to start looking at v2 in a few weeks. My code is pretty well modularized so I'm hoping for an "enhancement". We'll see.

Hi Remy,

Here are my brief thoughts on 0.4.425.

When I first downloaded (after uninstalling previous version), upon running got error: "Persistent database not signed with the proper key." Perhaps just the "first log in" type of thing.

Next, love the search, accessed through the options. May have been there before, but I just noticed it.

No additional thoughts right now. As always, I'll keep playing with it to try to break it.

Thanks!

The "proper key" message is expected after a new version install because I'm still changing things in the background. Shouldn't happen again.

You can search just by typing at the tree screen as well. You don't have to use the menu.

Folks, there's a bug in the synchronbization code that is preventing device backups from working. If you encounter this problem, you can do an advanced backup and select everything EXCEPT KeePassBBDatabaseObject in the right list box. I'm working on the fix now.

Unless I hear otherwise, I'm going to call the Beta closed and release 1.0 on Monday.

Any last-minute bugs or feature requests?

Default What about Key Files?

Hello,

I'm a late-comer to this discussion as I only found the application today. Thank You VERY much for your dedication to this project. I run KeePass Portable from a USB drive with a TrueCrypt Volume. I keep the key file on my TrueCrypt volume so that it is impossible to even open the database without mounting and decrypting the drive.

I have copied the database onto my SD card, browsed to the file and supplied the password; however, I am getting a database corrupt message. Is this because the BB version does not support keyfile AND password authorization or am I simply doing something wrong?

I installed the application through the desktop and everything seemed to go well. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Again for taking on this project

Edit: I copied the DB to another db without a key file and it opens fine. It occurs to me after the fact that I'll just store the whole db on the encrypted volume on the USB so I won't need the keyfile (I guess it's kind of redundant anyway ). That solves my issue but others may like to use just the key or a combo of both...Thanks!
