hey guys i did a search but couldn't find anything pertaining to my problem. i have a 8700g on tmobile and used to check my gmail account via the bb internet browser. starting today i started getting an error that says:

"your query loks similar to automated requests from a computer virus or spyware application. to protect our users, we can't process your request right now...."

i'm rather sure i have no virus' so i'm wondering what this is all about. thanks for any help guys

The BB has doesn't have some of the same options as a browser like Netscape or IE so maybe GMAIL sees your BB looking different than a normal browser logging in and thinks you may be a virus. Why do you use the browser to log into GMAIL anyway. Half the purpose of a BB is the push email. Just have your emails sent to your phone.

Might try changing the browser emulation mode in the browser properties. I've never tried checking gmail through the browser, so I dunno if it will help you or not.

ya it started working again so i don't know what the deal was. there are two reasons i haven't started using gmail on the bb:

1.) i'm still reatively new to the world of the bb so i'm still learning about everything this thing can do and,

2.) i wasn't sure about how to set up my gmail account on the bb (until i did a search and figured it out)
