Default Any Ideas?

Please Login to Remove!

I currently have the BB Storm on verizon wireless. I have been into my local store a couple of times when I first bought the phone expressing my dislike for it, only to be told to wait of the new OS and all of my problems will be solved.

I want to downgrade to the Curve but they said it isn't possible since my 30day period is up. I told the sales guy that I am a heavy texter/emailer and I need a physical keyboard. He told me that I had to wait until my next upgrade (April2010).

(My bad bout the Fraud thing, shear frustration is clouding my brain)

Any advice/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Really? You're posting requests for assistance in insurance fraud online?

Is this one of those "Astin Kutcher: Punk'D" things??????

What you are asking about is fraud. We do not discuss illegal activities.

And Verizon only has SIM cards in the 8830 and 9530.

edited post. Im just very VERY frustrated with this phone. Like throw it out the window while driving on the highway frustrated... Ive had it replaced three times and Im just not happy.

If i complain their ear off do you think they'll give me the curve for the 2yr contract price before I can upgrade? Technically Storm to Curve is a downgrade...

I sure hope not. That would be a slap in the face to all of the good customers who don't try to defraud them.

That's about all you can do now since you've blown the trial period. I don't know it would turn out differently than the times you got talked into keeping it, but you might as well try.

After that, have you tried an OS upgrade?

I just got a replacement today. My old phones screen was un-responsive. It has the most current OS, but its still laggy and I close all of the apps I'm done using. We'll see how the next week goes and make my way back to the store.

My hope is that they'll get tired of seeing my face and just give me one to shut me up.

Doubt it. They have nothing to do and plenty of time.

Wirelessly posted (overwhelmingly stressed)

Perhaps you can sell your storm and then purchase the curve or tour with that money

Fully try out your new device and make a decision within the 30 days next time.

For this time, ebay/sell the Storm.

Word of advice for next time, don't get ANY phone w/o checking Craig's List!

I think every Storm ever sold in my area is listed for sale there, some at giveaway prices. That just has to give you some information about it, right?

BTW, I have a VZW Pearl 8130 in the box with all that came with it, wanna swap? I'm serious, the Pearl is too small for my eyes and/or fingers.

One thing you could do is to add a line and then swap the curve for the storm when you get it. You'll be out $10/mo until april, when you can cancel the contract but it gets you out now and without cheating vzw.

The only thing I can recommend is maybe go through warranty with your provider, some warranty's have no lemon or exchange programs where after so many replacements they give you a list of comparable devices to switch to.

I don't think this is an option for a VZW customer. They offer optional replacement models only when the selected model is discontinued/out of stock.
