Default Am I missing something answering the phone?

Please Login to Remove!

I am a new Storm user and it seems troublesome to me to answer an incoming call. When I hit the answer icon it seems like I need to hit it several times to answer the call. In the process of doing that, I have had a number of cases where the screen is switching from portrait to landscape, making the whole process frustrating as I "chase" the icon around!

Welcome to the forums.

You could press the physical green call key.

BillLillie,

This is a Storm quirk. Most of the time the phone is transitioning from landscape to portrait which delays answering. In essence the Storm is still "thinking" and orienting itself to accept touching in the different view - portrait or landscape. In either case you activate or reject the call by touching totally different areas on the screen.

You must simply wait a second, then thumb the answer key on the screen and hold your thumb there until the call initiates. This works every time for me and I am used to it. Just resist the urge to panic and act deliberately. You'll get the hang of your Storm after performing this process a couple times.

Jsconyers offers a great idea that I never thought to try. The green phone key might also be a physical solution to get the phone to answer immediately. Methinks Ill try that.

I gave up trying to use the screen -- the green key works 100% of the time!
