Default Headset Jack

Please Login to Remove!

Ok...my first question! I just switched from the World Edition 8830 to the Curve 8330. When I had my World Edition, my 2.5mm headset jack did not work. I had gotten the phone from my brother so I just figured it was broke and didn't bother with it. Well my husband had a brand new (about a month old) Curve that he did not want so I figured I would take his phone and have a phone with a camera and a standard 3.5mm jack since I have absolutely no plans on international traveling. When he had his Curve the headset jack worked perfectly. Well, I backed my World Edition up to my desktop manager, switched my phone number to the curve, updated the Curve using my desktop manager but low and behold, the headset jack is not working! Is there an app or a setting that I was on with the World Edition that was backed up and then transferred to the Curve. Please help...I NEED my Pandora in the van on my way to work!

Have you tried a different pair of headsets/earbuds?
Have you checked the mute/volume levels?

It's unlikely a app was transferred. Also try a battery pull.

I've checked the volume levels and different earphones (many, many times) and have done a battery pull.

If you don't plug in earphones, does the music play at all (say from the speakers)?

yes...it plays fine through the speaker of the phone as well as the earpiece (when that is chosen).
