Easy if it is this much of a bother go back to your previous OS and stop changing OS, if the whole change is good other than this small inconvenience then stop gripping about it and move on already. You have been given alternatives to fixing the problem.

I upgraded and saw what you meant. And I agree that having a folder with the media icons in it is pretty much the same as the 4.7 "media" icon. It is essentially the same thing, with two big exceptions (1) you can move icons to the left or right -- I like my camera first follwed by video, and so forth and (2) you can hide icons -- i dont use voice notes, etc., so I hide it. With the previous version you cannot.

By the way, I did not have to create a media folder, there were already a folder with these icons ready for me when I upgraded to 5.0

That seems like something very minute to be worried over. Just like everyone said putting them in the folder will do the same exact thing. There are improvements to 5.0 that outweigh you having to put your media things in a folder.

How do you "unhide" icons. I can't find my BB Messenger.

Found it in a previous post:

On the main screen, hit menu, and then menu again. The menu will show up on the left. Click on show all.

Look for the sms icon...

If its there, move it where you want and unhide it.

If it isn't there, go to the messages (email) icon. Once in there, hit menu, and go to options, then general. Where is shows "sms and email" make sure they are set to seperate.

This should fix your problem. Post back with results
