Default 4.7.1.53 and 4.7.1.40 No myspace icon.

Please Login to Remove!

Yesterday I downgraded back to 4.7.1.40 since .53 was pulled and downloaded myspace and there is no icon for it even after battery pull and reinstalling it.

Well today .53 was re released by East Asia and I re wiped and installed .53 and installed myspace yet again and still no icon even after battery pull and reinstalling it.

Is anyone else having this issue? Is there a solve for it?

No myspace? I fail to see how this is a problem.

Thank you for voicing your opinion however if you have nothing helpful to say about the problem refrain from posting.

And welcome to the forums. Have you checked in your downloads folder?

No, the user's profile is not up to date. He stated that he installed 4.7.1 which would indicate a Tour.

First off I came here for help not snarky remarks like yours penguin3107.

Second I apologize for the confusion. Yes I am on a 9630 tour.

Third myspace is nowhere to be found in any folder or hidden.

Go to Options > Advanced Options > Applications. Do you see MySpace in the list of applications?

I would try removing it and reinstalling from the application center.

When you do the show all did you check every folder? I had that happen with the facebook app, showed to be installed and it was not. Ended up being in the instant messaging folder hidden.

Just got back from the VZW store....swapped out my device due to a faulty trackball.....
While there I was complaining about myspace, seeing if they could fix it....

Per the rep in the store, RIM/MySpace are having an issue with the app, which is causing it not to display or run.......

I don't see anything in the VZW alert system stating that there is an issue, but I dont have access to all the post-pay info as I work in Pre-Pay.....

Hope this helps!

Default Found my applications in the Downloads folder

Well, most of them anyway!

I just switched from a 7130e (yeah, I know, ancient brick - but hey, I had it 3 years, it took lots of abuse, and kept coming back for more) and, after using the Switch Device Wizard, I found my applications in the Downloads folder. I moved the ones I use frequently to the Home folder for easier access.

FWIW, the Applications list shows Facebook is installed on my Tour, but it was not in the Downloads folder. I downloaded and installed it again (and I was prompted about whether I wanted to replace it with the same version) and it was still not in Downloads folder. I kept digging around and, lo and behold, it was in the Applications folder.

Nothing like consistency to help us end users...

Per the VZW alert site........

After installing MySpace on the BlackBerry Tour from AppWorld or AppCenter, the application does not appear in:
  • The home screen
  • The extended app listing
  • Any folder.
However, it is available in Advanced Options > Applications to uninstall.
RIM is currently investigating the issue. There is no ETR at this time.
