Default *PICS* question about the OEM tour cradle/table charger

Please Login to Remove!

whenever i get to the office or i get home i hate how i get DOUBLE of everything. if someone IMs me or sends me an email first my BB signals me then i see it on my desktop screen.

i was thinking about getting the tour cradle and i was wondering if you guys knew whether there is some kind of function where i could place the BB in the cradle and it would turn off the internet connectivity?

i dont know... maybe im asking too much. i mean usually when i get to the office or go home i just put my phone on PHONE CALLS ONLY mode. then i just have to mark all of the messages as read.

im talking about this cradle:

That cradle will do nothing but charge your device in a convient upright position.

THe only charging pod that appears to sync as well as charge is the Storm one.

Its a desktop charging pod.
i.e. for your desk.
I have my bold one using the wall charger on my desktop. it then is conviently placed to put the usb in to connect to my pc.

You can't turn off the internet mode without turning the entire radio, meaning no phone calls either. You should be able to change your profile so you don't get any notifications for messages, IMs etc. There's an option to turn all alerts off, or you can turn them off separately by setting them to silent and turn off LED notfication. You can delete all your emails at once if you want to also.

When charging with pod or AC cable you can configure it to enter "bedside mode", an option in bedside mode lets you turn off the radio.

actually there IS a way to do this but i was hoping to have an automatic function.

go to:

->manage connections -> mobile network options -> data services [set to OFF]

this will turn off all of your internet services but you will STILL be able to receive phone calls.

i was just hoping that if i got a holster or when i charge my phone it will automatically turn off the data services.

that way when i am sitting at my desk i can turn off the data services.

Maybe I am missing the issue but can't you just turn off message redirection when the device is connected to your computer in BB desktop?
