as for the gmail, when one receives an email with an address in it, gmail has a link to that address in GOOGLE MAPS, ups tracking number in an email? Gmail has a direct link to that tracking number on the UPS site. Gmail is super smart that way....

Are you speaking about the web version - I assume so and not a BB app.

Downloaded OTA and working fine on my 8703e. I assume using the internal GPS will not work?

I think this SOOO much better than Google Maps for one reason alone....
fully integrated with your address book.
Here are some quick Pros:
1) Integrated with Address book
2) IMHO easier interface for directions
Quick Cons:
1) No satelite view.
That being said this will probably be my default mapping software but will keep the Google cause Satelite is so darn cool to show off to people.

I agree. For a quick look at area traffic when not listening to XM traffic, google maps works well.

it was a combination of a lot of tries on the downloadJAD.do link (found in the javascript code). needless to say, I don't have a link of what ended up working anymore (YAY for 1 day IE history).

Everything works good on my VZW 8703e. That is everything but the GPS. I hope that gets fixed soon.

Yea, what he said. If everything was so simple. I love the location finder from addrress book. The pan and zoom are easier in Google maps, for me.

Which BB do you have. See my GPS page. BBMaps couldn't be easier in pan and zoom. But don't throw GM aways either.

I have a 8703e, all of two days old.
I played a a bit more and decided I like both. I have tried some locations the distances on the map are given as the crow flies. The distances on the directions and the travel time have been accurate. Well the time doesn't consider the beltway or Springfield, VA.
