Last night on the Simpsons, when Springfield buy a stadium for a new NFL team. The commisioner (or someone) went to his cell phone first and one the screen it stated 'Battery Dead'. He goes onto say "I'll Blackberry my assistant" and on the BB screen is a message saying "Assistant Dead".
Not the greatest product placement.

Wow...uh...

Did anyone say it was a big deal? Merely interesting, is all.

I don't think anyone here would argue that it's a big deal, just like we could make the argument that it's not a big deal to have a thread about it.

Many of us love our BBs, and it's interesting for some of us to see if others use them, too.

It's just like regular celebrity gossip. You're either into it, or you're not.

Granted, this may be better suited to be moved to our "off topic" section. But other than that, I don't see the harm in it.

I came across the picture during the course of my normal work day, and remembered this thread. Not much more of a big deal to me than that.

Scott Ian, guitarist for the heavy metal band Anthrax, uses a BlackBerry. Not sure what model, he holds it up briefly during an interview on the "Alive 2" DVD.

I saw it and was like:

"WHOOOO YEAH SCOTT USES A BLACKBERRY HE'S EVEN COOLER THAN I THOUGHT HE WAS AND HE'S PRETTY DAMN COOL TO START WITH"

There were a few other threads about this same idea but no one put the pics together- neat idea.

West Wing is thick with BBs.

Saw Allen Iverson of the Philadelphia 76ers with a 8700 on the news, someone was showing him how to use it while he was laying on the ground. This was during practice...practice, we are talking about practice, it's just practice....that last part was for Philly sports fans- they will get the joke.

Anyway, neat idea.

It is due back in the next few months. I am watching all the shows again with Comcast "on demand". My wife thinks I am nuts - she watched them the first few times but after 2 she was out. There are so many little things that crack me up in that show it is easy to watch a few times to pick up the things you missed the first time around.

By the way the soundtrack from Reservoir Dogs is one of the best ever. You know what I think of when they play "stuck in the Middle" on the radio in my car, great movie.

I believe it's June 12th. I saw the teaser to the new season. Auqua Man absolutely BLEW up I guess and was the biggest summer blockbuster. I just remember Ari going "You did it Vinny, you've reached A-List, your one of the biggest movie starts in the WORLD". Then it goes on to show the normal partying and cameos we expect from one of the greatest shows on TV. I can't wait.
