Default GoogleTalk now Available

For those that have not noticed, RIM has posted a link to download GoogleTalk for BlackBerry at http://www.blackberry.com/GoogleTalk/

Ok how is this going to handle multiple sign in locations? Right now I have it on my BB, Laptop and desktop (at work).

When I leave work and do NOT sign off the next day I see a few people have tried to contact me even being at home signed in. Sometimes they come thru and sometimes not.

I did notice that the logging of the chat was almost instantaneous to my gmail from a BB Convo.

GOBLUE!

Wireless download is fast and smooth! I have tried GT and it works like a charm -- the interface is wonderful with real-time refresh.

Quick hint: when you have lots of friends, you still want to manage the list from Desktop GT. You know what? The BB GT refreshes instantly.

Hey, this is really cool!!!

Are we sure that GT uses SMS instead of GPRS data?

The beginning of the thread seems to suggest SMS but this is what I extracted from the RIM web page:

"BlackBerry data service with a US- or Canadian-based wireless Service Provider (Google Talk for BlackBerry devices will be available to other BlackBerry subscribers soon! xxx8212; Check back here for updates) "

Thanks for passing the word. As far as I know, this was announced at the same time that Google Local for BlackBerry was release, but it was not released until yesterday or today.
