With two different Blackberrys, on two different Macs (both with Snow Leopard)- the music sync has failed to recognize the playlist I chose and randomly entirely filled up my memory card- no I don't have "fill up my card checked" !!!
I went back to missing sync for that reason alone.

You know your better off just dropping music in the music folder when you connect your BB to you computer. Just double click on the BB icon and dump it in the folder. That's how I do it anyway. Easier then using DM sync.

I have iSync Services on, although I do not subscribe to Mobile Me, nor does iSync recognize my Curve. And I’ve selected "Add events created on BB device to Entourage. However, I get plenty of inconsistencies.

For instance, If I move appointments in Entourage, sometimes they show up moved in iCal, and sometimes they don’t. If they are moved in iCal, they will show up moved on my Curve after I sync. If they remain in iCal, they remain on my Curve. So clearly this sounds like a communication error between Entourage and iCal. The only way I've been able to resolve this is by deleting all events in iCal, then having iSync build the list again.

I’ve also received double notes on my Curve, but they only show up once in Entourage. I don’t have Entourage Notes syncing with Mobile Me checked since I don’t have Mobile Me. So how is the BB syncing with Entourage? And why are the notes doubling? And why does RIM release something without having solutions for us?

I am having the exact same problem! Spent days on this! well upset!

did you find a solution?

Default Newbie needs help

Yesterday I was given my first Blackberry (9700) as a gift. I downloaded the DM, but am unable to download any of the updates. I have tried several times and have even uninstalled and re-installed the DM.

What do I do now?

Thanks

Sandy

PS Being a Grandma I need real simple instructions.

It should check itself for updates. What updates are you looking for?

The DM does automatically check for updates, but for some reason is unable to download.

Yeah DM for BB Mac has a long way to go before it's working well. It syncs my calender and address book and that's about it.

I don't even use it for music, i just dump music directly onto my BB.

I've been using the latest version of DM to sync my 8820 to my Macbook running Snow Leapord. At first everything was working fine, but lately I've been having problems syncing my contacts. Calendars works fine, but when it gets halfway through syncing contacts a window pops up saying:
"An error has occurred. Please try resyncing."

It doesn't specify what the error is, so I can't figure out what it is to begin to try and fix it. I didn't change anything as far as options go, so idk what all of a sudden changed to make this happen. I really rely on syncing my addy books between my mac and BB, and need to find a solution.

Any ideas?

But I don't get my iTunes playlist that way- and I live by playlist. We called them mix tapes back in the day.
