When charging my 8320 on my macbook pro, after a while I get a "Device Removal" error. I'm not copying files, synching or anything other than charging my phone.
Does anyone else get this? Is there a fix?

Here are the specifics:
Macbook pro running leopard, with latest updates.
PocketMac 4.1
8320 running 4.5.0.102

Had this problem once from a bad USB cord/jack. The usb on the left side of my macbook seems to have less voltage, and a less stable connection, than the port on the right...

does it harm anything on the blackberry by just pulling out the usb cord after the sync says it is complete?

It may harm the memory card if you have one installed, but only if the Mac is somehow interacting with it. I would suggest you eject the card in Finder before pulling the cord, just to be safe.

Incidentally, with the random device removal error, I was able to keep this from happening by going into Energy Saver preferences and unchecking the "put disks to sleep when possible" option.

I believe it gives the error when it has finished charging and I dont think the pocketmac drivers do anything to solve it :(

do you know anything about what to do if the cord becomes unplugged and damages the memory card? this happened to me yesterday and ive been crying ever since because i hadn't even seen all the pictures i was trying to upload. i plugged my camera in to my macbook and walked away, when i came back it somehow unplugged a little bit, the error code came up, and now its just symbols as files on my memory card. i'm so upset. is there anything you can think of to get my pictures back?
