Default please help with 8320 internal antenna

Please Login to Remove!

I got tired of leaving my phone on the window sill and going outside to answer ever phone call, so i rigged an external antenna.

I saw it on you tube. It worked great for about 1 week. I was finally able to sit at my desk "indoors", and talk to my friends in Australia.

Now it wont pick up and signal any where. Is there a repair place?
I took it to my local t-mobile AD and they were clueless, told me to send it back to Canand. it just reads "No Service"

Is there anyone who can offer any kind of advice or good information?

thank you feel free to email me [email address]

Have you pulled the battery out for 30 seconds? At the T-Mobile store, did they try a different SIM card? What has been tried??

Yes, you read my mind, those were exactly the first two things i tried. They gave me a new sim card thank goodness the didnt charge me 20 bucks again and the guy said he thought the internal intenna got messed up.

I'm so frustrated because i live on the boarder of reception, and my neighbors laugh when i run outside in the rain in my pj's to answer the phone.

Anyway thank you for your response. everything else on the phone still works great.

Assuming you do have 8320 and not 7290, why didn't you use wifi for UMA call? You will get coverage as long as you get wifi coverage, and no need to mess around with the internal antenna.

Then he's stuck to using his phone only at WiFi locations.

I was just saying he should have done that instead of mess around with the antenna. Obviously, he has to get his phone fixed. If he still has wifi on his phone, fixed or new, he should look into getting wifi set up, so he doesn't need to run outside in the rain to take or make a call.

I know, that's crazy. If my reception was that bad, I'd be switching carriers.

Well, I,m also in a poor coverage area at home but couldn't switch carrier, as the BB is company supplied. So the UMA calling is the perfect solution for me.

Default no wifi

well, we were with t-mobile for 10 years and when i went to buy the curve maybe 6 months ago as soon as it came out, they changed my account in the store. I was no longer unlimited text, etc..

they basically said you should have checked you bill more closely, I said Ive had it for 10 years, why would i change it, to pay more?? obviously your moron employee f*up. and they wouldn't fix it, so Ive been using prepay for the last few months with no wifi, it only works on sidekicks

T mobile blows, stay clear if you can
