Default Blackberry vendor logo

Please Login to Remove!

My blackberry shows the stupid vendor logo whenever I turn it on and off.

Will wiping my blackberry get rid of this?

No, it is on the firmware. The splash screen can not be changed.

No.

You cannot remove the stupid stuff. It is there to stay.

How ridiculous. I wonder if I will ever be able to hax it (that is, hack it as an end user. . not all the messy stuff myself =P). It pisses me off just seeing it.

Thanks.

One more thing. Will backing up my data, wiping it with jl cmder and restoring my data result in a performance increase? (I don't have any 3rd party apps)

If you are able to hack it, please report back here how you did. I am sure a lot of people will be interested to know.

If you are not having any issues or not upgrading your OS, there really would be no need to do so.

What's down in the well comes up in the bucket.

Not really, it may, but if you are loading all the same back to it, there really shouldn't be that big of a difference.

If your overall performance is slow, what is the number at Options > Status > File Free?

Unfortunately I am unable to extract any non-superficial meaning from your statement in this context.

File Free: 20876112 Bytes, which I believe to be sufficient.

It's not particularly slow I don't believe - I don't have a benchmark (i.e. another pearl to try). I just like to get things running the best they possibly can. Heh.

It doesn't matter nor surprise me.

Your file free does appear to be good. A battery pull reboot will always help some to clear the memory and free up space should you notice any lag.

Enjoy.

I don't see what the big deal is. Doesn't it go away in like a second?

I absolutely love it when people say they can't see someone else's point of view without contributing anything remotely useful. I find it particularly prominent on forums, hence my 13 posts (at time of writing) since April.

Obviously you can see that there is a 'deal', which is a start. If you don't think the same as me then I guess it just goes to show humans can be different people and musn't need to conform to your point of view.

edit: btw JSanders I like your hax photo :D

forfriends. - We are bombarded everyday by branding. Your monitor you are looking probably has a mfr brand on it. What about when you are driving around? Car mfr logos? Dealer plates. Heck, even clothing.

BTW, how is it that athletes get paid to wear mfr clothing like Nike and probably get all they want, but the american people have to pay for logo ladden clothing and don't get paid by same company to advertise there stuff.

Corporate branding is here to stay. Good luck with the hack!

Whether's it's a big deal or not, no one has been able to change or remove the branding. At this point it cannot be done.

Closing this thread down as it no longer servers a purpose....

Personally, I don't buy clothing with branding in prominent places.

I don't buy polos with the label on the chest (ala lacoste, polo, etc.) or pants with the label so obvious. I think I have a few Columbia fishing shirts with a small tag on the pocket.
