One of those apps is causing problems. I would start by deleting them one by one starting with the games and the more obscure apps.

Actually, it's well known that SoftReset doesn't play well with OS 4.5. Try removing that, then the games. Save Google Maps, JiveTalk, etc., for last.

Removed softreset but still having the issue. I will start removing games but i REALLY hope that its not a game thats causing this. This will suck to have to remove a game that i purchased. This new OS is starting to sound like Vista when it first came out..........

It was the Sunday Funnies theme that was causing the problem.

Ah! You didn't mention any 3rd party themes....I quit loading 3rd party themes on my device due to this type of strange stuff.

I installed 4.5 and i deleted the vendor file but when i plugged in my 8100 it didnt prompt me to upgrade it and when i hit the upgrade applications button on the desktop manager it said that there was no upgrades found

I finally threw caution into the wind, and installed the 4.5 onto my Pearl.
Now, the phone keeps rebooting itself. Let me start from the beginning.
I did the install following the instructions in the sticky above. Once it was through, it did what the sticky said it would , except it only rebooted once. But afterwards, whenever I tried to open my media files, it would reboot.
So, I did a battery pull. Aftre that, the phone reboots, does it hour glass thing for a few minutes, then seems normal. But after 2 or 3 minutes, it reboots again. I thought it would do this a time or two, but it's constant. I even left it on all last night, and everytime I checked it, it was doing it.
Anyone with any idea about this?

Anyone else notice that the Excel viewer is missing from Docs2Go from the A1 d/l?

You have to register and download the free upgrade. Do that from within Docs To Go. If you did this already and then do an OS upgrade the upgrade will actually "downgrade" your version of Docs To Go. To prevent this you'll need to delete/rename the DocumentsToGo.alx file on your computer.

just loaded 4.5.0.55 onto my 8100. went real smooth. Its still a little slow, and the hourglass is ALWAYS popping up. I hope this goes away?

I down load to my computer 4.5. OS and run setup.
When I connect my blackberry 8100 to computer It does not find new version of software.
I am using SunCom provider.

Can somebody tell me what is wrong.
