Default WTF!!?? Exc 4.1.4 MR5? - Where is 4.1.5?

Please Login to Remove!

I just noticed that maintenance release 5 for Exchange 4.1.4 is out and is like 250MB in size - what happened to 4.1 SP5 that we were suppose to see last month, or I am mistaken in the dates?

Ok - 3/28 - even still then, why bother with a new MR5 the same week they are planning to post SP5...

From what I can tell MR5 only resolves 1 more addtional issue than MR4:

*SDR 166093
In BlackBerry Enterprise Server Version 4.1 SP4, after an organizer updated a meeting that a user had accepted, the status for the meeting did not change back to Invited on Microsoft Outlook or on the BlackBerry device for the user.
In BlackBerry Enterprise Server Version 4.1 SP4 MR5 and later, this issue is resolved.

So if there is only one small fix, what's with the huge increase in file size?

MRs are usually cumulative, so the file size will be large.

I'll be applying MR5 this weekend to get rid of the annoying updated appt. bug.

I know they are cumulative, but that doesn't really settle it for me. MR4 was 8.1mb larger than MR3 with something like 13 fixes. In this MR there is one fairly small fix. Should it really take 164 meg of updates to fix this one issue?

Maybe all of the SP5 features are in it and we just need to find the registry key to enable them

That is what the Product LifeCycle says ... I haven't heard any different.

Can anyone explain this MR5 a little better? I have a user that accepts meeting updates in Outlook and her device shows incorrect information. Once she said it showed both the old and updated meetings and another time it didn't remove a cancelled meeting (all from her BB device only, Outlook is fine). The fix is described by Blackberry below:

In BlackBerry Enterprise Server Version 4.1 SP4, after an organizer updated a meeting that a user had accepted, the status for the meeting did not change back to Invited on Microsoft Outlook or on the BlackBerry device for the user.In BlackBerry Enterprise Server Version 4.1 SP4 MR5 and later, this issue is resolved.

Thanks

I guess I don't see what your question is ... you really should start your own thread for something like this.
