Recently my original fully charged BB bold's battery only last for half day. Therefore, I bought a new battery to replace the old one, thought that it would solve the problem, unfortunately the new battery only last for one day(suppose 2 days).

After detail observastion I just realised that the unit was hot or heated(previous battery also present the similar symptoms) and it drained the battery power (few bars) within 2 hours.

Please help

Sounds like you have a bad behaved application that runs continuously. This causes the CPU and battery to get warm, and the battery to drain qucikly.

I've had this happen before. It used to happen when Opera hung and I just switched out with it with the application switcher.

The best preventative method is to properly exit apps when you're done with them, and if you have one that hangs, turn the device off and then back on either with the power key or battery pull.

Hi i have the same problem as TS. the battery will suddenly turn hot. and battery life is drained. only lasted for 1 day. tested with new battery, same occurence.

I agree. I dont think the heat caused the problem but was a result of the problem

I recently had the same issue with my bold. I think it was due to the buggy Directv app that I had running. I have deleted the app and have not had the issue since
