what is the difference for individual non-business customers with regard to BIS and BES ? i'm on BIS right now.
would going with BES give me the ability to nuke my device from tmo's web site if i lost it ?

If you had BIS or BES prior to making the switch, your rate stays at 19.99 or 29.99 respectively. If you add it after the fact, then the new rates prevail.

No, it wouldn't. If you do not need BES, there is not a benefit to having it over the BIS add-on.

one thing i want to ask prior to saying "make this my plan" in My Tmo is....i don't see an option to make sure this plan will be added as a Month-to-Month rather than a commitment....?

i don't wanna hit the button then find out that i agreed to another 2 yrs....

just making sure...

It isn't. T-Mobile doesn't make you resign a two year agreement for changing plans. They changed that policy a long time ago.

Last time I made a plan change that required a contract extension, it made me enter my initials and agree online, etc. There was none of that going to the $49.99 plan. It also specifically says on the landing page: "No additional contract commitment"

yea but i dismissed the landing page...later accessed the available offer via "change plan"...anyway, i progressed thru and there's a final checkout feature, until i tick that, the changes don't stick....

Wirelessly posted

Makes me wish I had transferred the number from my old account to this new account, when my ex and I split. As it stands, I've only got about 6 days into service with T-Mobile because of the split in accounts...
