Is it just MY BB's battery life or are all BB battery like this?

I talked to my friend over the phone for 2.5 hrs maybe 3hrs and now the battery is almost gone.

Sorry, very noob question.

well 4-5 hours is about normal for the battery. if you have other things such as wifi/bluetooth/media player/etc going it shortens your battery life

The specs say "up to 4 hours" of talk time so you are fine

Screen brightness has a big effect as well. You can reduce the blanking timeout and enable auto-dimming/brightness control to help save battery life.

If you are using BB 8320 and it only stays for 2.5 hrs in talk time then there must be some problem with the battery, according to specs minimum talk time period is 4 hrs. Sure 4 hrs non stop talk time is more then enough!!

Sorry, very noob question.
Tell all of us what phone you were using before this Blackberry that did better.

Your Blackberry, if properly charged should have lasted thru your 2.5-3 hours call and has power to spare. A 3 hour long conversation will use a good bit of power and most "other" phones would have died!
