this may be a dumb question so if so forgive me. i have a 8703e from verizon. the desktop software included with my phone is 4.1.1.9 from feb 2006. obviously there have been upgrades to the software since then. i also use yahoo - and in the new desktop software 4.2 sp 2, you can sync with Yahoo Pim services.

here's the question - if i download the new desktop version will it be compatible with my 8703e? i don't know if higher levels of desktop software only work with specific phones/newer models, etc. is there a way to tell if mine is compatible?

please advise! Thanks!

Yes, the latest version of Blackberry Desktop Manaer (4.2 sp2) will work fine with your 8703e.
