Yep, tap the "k" key on your phone... IF you have this set:
Phone > Options > General Options > Dial from Home Screen = NO

Also, depending on the theme you are using, alt+enter works as well. On some themes, this brings up an option to change your language settings

You can always use Alt+Enter if you turn off language switching.

This is accomplished by going to Options->Language and then turn Use Input Language Shortcut to No.

This will allow Alt+Enter to be used to lock the keypad.

Default Alternative Solution

I have changed my front convenience key to "keyboard lock" and found that as the best and quickest way to lock the keyboard. I figure I lock the keys more than I would hit the browser or an alternative application. Just my preference

Likewise but use the side key, the front for profile selection.

I also use my side convenience key to lock keypad. I am always hitting buttons when I holster it, so I figured I should make it easy to lock.
I use the front convenience key to open my adddress book. Although I am hitting the BB Messenger app pretty hard, so I might put my front conv. key for that.
