I just got a 7100I and I was told they can get ringtones. But apparently they can't. Please tell me you found a solution to "our" problem

yes u can get ringtones loaded to your 7100i. You can load midi and .wav files. But no mp3 files. I loaded mine using a program called phonepix:photo caller id. It loads pictures so when people call you have photos to look at and it loads .wav files for ringtones. Make sure though that the ringtones are not huge files or it will not transfer.

thats crazy how the 7100i is the only 7100 that cant have mp3 tones

My 7100g doesn't use MP3's. I use Multimedia Center to convert from mp3 to .adp then go to Coolservice.dk (free upload) and upload from my computer. Works great for me. I downloaded a very large file that contained 5K plus mp3 ringtones and pick which ones I want to convert to .adp. Hopefully this will help you.
