Exclamation New user with a internet problem, Please help!

Please Login to Remove!

I am currently using a blackberry bold from At&t. I am a former Iphone user and love everything about my blackberry. It seems that I can not use my wireless internet for my phone. I went thru the proper setup for my wi-fi and on the main screen on top of the time it says At&T-2WIRE610 which is my wireless router. When I go to manage connections I have a check mark on the left side next to Wi-Fi - 2Wire610 but a white ( - ) all the way to the right. Now I believe I have everything setup right but when I go on the internet on my phone it still uses the 3G instead of my wireless internet. Am I missing or doing something wrong here? Please help!

Thanks

do you have a BB data plan?

go into the broswer, click menu-options-broswer config
change defualt broswer to hotspot
save
exit.

open up and see if it connects to wireless.

I just tried that and after I save and go back into browser config it resets itself to media net. Yes I do have the BB data plan.

Not sure I'm still new to all this. Now it seems that the Wi-Fi is connected now. Should I have it set to internet browser, media net or hotspot browser?

It depends on your preference. I think most use the internet browser. That is what mine is set as.

check your Wifi diagnostics on BB
then your browser set to hotspot
open browser and press "U" on key board will give you status if its connected via Wifi or Data plan!
make sure you have latest OS installed on BB check on about and give you OS version!
