You need a blackberry data plan to connect to the blackberry/RIM system and use blackberry applications that use data. This would be the blackberry internet browser, messaging (push email, PIN and blackberry messenger).
Alright, thanks. I still think that I'll need to type in my gateway ip and port somewhere on the phone, even though I'm using a generic data plan, right? Do you know where I can do that, I don't think it'll work by just changing the APN.
