Advntages of BB are mainly superficial
What BB advantages are you refering to that are superficial?

The reliable email or the not having to reboot every other hour?

Default Treo's: The Good, the bad and the Ugly

So I've used many different devices over the years including first gen Palm Pilot's and Treo's (both a 650 & a 680).

The Good . . .

As mentioned many software options and the touch screen was convenient as I transitioned from the Pocket PC world where touch and stylus were everything.

SMS threaded conversation

The QWERTY keyboard is nice and solid.

Easy access SD Slot

The 680 came with a full version of Docs to Go

The Bad . . .

Many many many many resets . . . oh has that been mentioned?

Activesync- just terrible.

The Ugly . . .

The units themselves- big, heavy and bulky- hasn't improved with the 680 but maybe with the centro this will be improved.

Resets, dropped calls, speaker issues, did I mention resets?

Activesync- sorry had to mention it again!

Wow out of a nostalgic moment I went and got my old 650 to play with it . . . yuck! I love my 8310!

Well take this from an ex-Treo owner. My wife had one for years. She had the 600, 650 and the 750. I had the 680. I hated that we always had to do battry pulls and when you had 3rd party software, and things started to lock up, you call palm and they say you have to uninstall everything. The software is just not stable. i love the palm, just not the treo.

Since I have gone to blackberry, it has been the best thing. We now own 3 8310's. My wife, son and i. As soon as my next two upgrades are available I will be getting 2 more totaling 5 all on my plan. I have never had to pull the battery and I am always putting on software trying and removing what I don't like. BB is great and much farther than palm in the data phones.

Now this was my wifes phone before I conviced her to get the 8130 like mine. She hated the size of it as well. Most annoying part was the touch screen was always active when you where talking to someone. I think she took about 20 pictures or started playing some game while she was talking to customers.
