MADDOG_ i am stuck with amazon.com as well!!!

i placed an order for 2x 8320 (t-mo) on 10/11 estimated delivery 10/16. then delayed to 18, then 24 . i spent 2 hours talking to 5 different customer reps in 6 time zones yesterday. every one of them is telling me a different story. from credit card problem, no stock from supplier, ready to pick up at the warehouse dock to computer malfunctioning at their fulfillment centers. it's unreal, but it's happening and their product info page is still saying IN STOCK!!!

just ask for compensation and free next-day delivery. i don't believe they are really selling 8320 until i have one in my hand.

i am filing complaint to bbb and called up a local tv news station they may run a story!

I feel your pain. Good for you for following up with the BBB and local news. Your area really can't be that hard-up for a story. If so, let us know when it's going to be on.

Today, I got yet another story (4th day now) that they're out of stock. I'm absolutely convinced that no one at Amazon actually can figure out when I'm getting my phone. Total incompetence.

I tried 2 more things today.

1) Went to my AT&T store and tried to negotiate in person. Brought my Amazon invoice and a copy of the product page with pricing. I talked to the manager on duty there. He would not budge a penny. The "deal" he was offering was to let me buy for the phone for the same price everyone else can buy it for. What a deal. No thanks.

2) Tried Letstalk.com. They're telling me I can't keep the plan I currently have and MUST go to a plan for $20 more a month on my minutes. I don't think so. Bye.

I've done everything I can and am mentally exhausted from the B.S. and have put way too much energy into it. At this point, I officially give up and just wait for Amazon. Whenever it gets here, it gets here. Hopefully it'll be by Christmas.

Amazon strikes again! I knew their offer was too good to be true. I'll just have to wait for the local reps to get with it....

While this is still royally hacking me off, I'm planning to write to Jeff Bezos (CEO) over the weekend for all the good that's going to do. What a screwed up company. There's no one in the whole company that can figure out when a stupid phone is going to ship.

It's like a cross between the Matrix and the "machine" from Midnight Express (Billy Hayes). For anyone that doesn't remember, Billy Hayes, who's in prison in Turkey, goes downstairs where all the loonies are walking in a circle. Billy walks in the opposite direction, and one of the psychos goes, "What has upset you? Oh! I know. The bad machine doesn't know that he's a bad machine."

Well then, I am definitely the bad machine for wanting a simple answer to a simple question.

We have learned that "AT&T Nation 450 Rollover Minutes + BlackBerry

not been able to let us know exactly when they expect to have more
in stock.

that is what I got as a reply to my email asking about it.

I could not agree more, as I've tried what PCgirl is suggesting here and she is 100% correct. Plus this presents you with an opportunity to focus on other things....

I went over to letstalk.com and found that it is basically the same offer. They do require you to order a 39.99+ plan, but I was doing that anyways, and they are actually IN STOCK. So I canceled my amazon order and should have my new (and eventually free) phone soon!

Umm ... NEGATIVE! I think you have MAJOR issues at work here and are set up for being screwed again. I'm a freakin' expert because I just went through the same EXACT thing you went through.

Looking back at your prior post, I too had the "AT&T 450 Rollover Minutes" plan and added the unlimited data plan ($29.99). Letstalk DOES NOT have the "AT&T 450" plan. This is the exact point I got into an argument with the sales guy at Letstalk over today. The $39.99 AT&T plan you signed up with Letstalk with has ZERO anytime cell minutes (AT&T Blackberry 4 MB plan). You need to go back over this and see that what I'm seeing is correct.

The minimum anytime minutes cell plan Letstalk offers is the AT&T 900 at $59.99. I ain't lying.

Please do me, and yourself a favor and check this out. It's like deja vu all over again (like Yogi would have said) because I just had this same conversation with Letstalk this afternoon. My order was just about done when this "minor" point came up.

For your sake, I hope I'm wrong. Check it out and let us know.

I'm seeing tonight that Amazon updated their product page for the red 8310 from "Usually ships in 2 to 3 days" to "Usually ships in 2 to 4 weeks."

Can you post that link to Letstalk? That's not what I got.

Also, what part of the country are you in? I'm in Northern California and that makes a difference too, although I tried punching in different parts of the country and it didn't make a difference.

I couldn't get that link to work. It seems to go right to the shopping cart. Can you post the link to the service plan page?

Did you pick, "New, Phone and Individual Plan", "Upgrade, Phone & Contract Extension", or something else? No matter what, I can't come up with the AT&T 450 plan.

You said you got the Blackberry Personal Max? When I pick that plan on Letstalk, I get:

AT&T Blackberry Personal Max also includes:

* Unlimited Data
* 1000 Messages (Text, IM, Video, and Picture)
* No Anytime Cellular Minutes Included
* Free Long Distance and Free Roaming on the AT&T network!
* This plan includes: Caller Id, Voice Mail, Call Waiting, Call Forwarding, Group Connect.

I don't get it. When I pull that up, it says "no anytime cellular minutes included."

OK. I now found it a different way. I deleted all my letstalk cookies and started over. Then I started with the plan first, then the phone. That way, I was able to get the 450 plan, free phone for a new plan, after rebate.

HOWEVER, I'm currently an AT&T customer and THEN it wants me to pay $339 with a $75 rebate, net $265.

Shiite. It's worth giving them a call tomorrow but that's it. Maybe I'll get mine for Thanksgiving.

Cool. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I'll enjoy mine too, but I've now resigned myself to the purgatory of waiting for Amazon.
